On Saturday, March 23rd, the Auxiliary members of the Wenatchee Valley VFW will be accepting donations of durable medical equipment (DME) like wheelchairs, walkers, canes, shower aids, bed tables, and toilet risers. We are collecting items that are vital to our community members as they transition from a hospital stay to rehabilitation services or to their home. There is never a financial charge for any DME given out through this program.
Please note that we do not accept power chairs, sleep apnea equipment (CPAP), or electric scooters.
Everything donated will go directly to KC Help, a nonprofit community hospital equipment lend program here in Wenatchee that is operated by the Knights of Columbus Wenatchee Council #1545. Donated items will be given minor repairs if needed and cleaned before its placed on the warehouse floor, ready for pickup by anyone having a need.
We’ll be collecting donations at two locations on Saturday, March 23 from 11am to 2pm:
Wenatchee Valley VFW
211 11th Street NE
East Wenatchee, WA
KC Help
625-B South Elliot
Wenatchee, WA
For those who’ve received equipment from KC Help in the past and you’re done using it, this will be the perfect opportunity to return these vital items so the rest of our community can use it during their time of need.
