“Ten years ago my husband (Curt) and I moved to East Wenatchee to be closer to our family but not on the west side of the mountains. After driving through the Wenatchee area at Christmas we decided it was the right place for us. We happened to move walking distance of the Post. As we kept driving past, my husband mentioned we should check it out — That was the best thing we ever did. We were quickly welcomed by everyone at the first coffee we attended. We made good friends and instantly had a place we belonged. When my husband passed away suddenly (2019) the Auxiliary was my lifeline. The support I received from the Post and Auxiliary was amazing. I know my life would not be as happy and good as it is without my VFW family.”
