Announcing 2020 Youth Essay Winners

We were excited to receive several entries into our Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen youth scholarship programs this fall, even though the majority of students were being taught at home.  We are proud to announce our winners!

The theme for this year’s Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay contest was “Is this the country the founders envisioned?”  Emily Pugh, a freshman at Ephrata High School, was selected as the 1st place winner for our Post. Taking 2nd place was McKenna White, a senior at Wenatchee High School.

Emily, McKenna, and Rachel were presented with their Plaques and cash prizes at the Post home on 22 Dec 2020. Commander Pieratt ensured safety for everyone by having each group come in at different times, with gaps for cleaning between groups.
