“The VFW launched #StillServing at the start of the year to honor the many ways veterans give back to their communities. When this campaign was planned and kicked off, we had no idea how important it would become. Then coronavirus concerns spread.
Veterans around the nation and the world are on the front lines of COVID-19 response and relief efforts. #StillServing is going strong and is even more meaningful thanks to the outstanding men and women who fought for freedom and are now working in hospitals, making masks, providing food, taking care of our most vulnerable citizens and donating blood.”
Now, the VFW is hosting a virtual #StillServing Celebration!
Kicking off on July 20, 2020, and culminating with the installation of the new VFW National Commander on July 24, 2020, the #StillServing Celebration is a week-long celebration showcasing stories of veterans who’ve remained committed to a life of service and especially those who’ve stepped up in the wake of COVID-19.
We will hear directly from members and Post leaders on how they’ve met the many challenges of these uncertain times. With remarks from special guests, surprise celebrity entertainers, a T-shirt giveaway, and more, you can enjoy this event while engaging and networking with other members from the comfort of your computer or device.
