VFW Department of Washington is proud to announce that Paul Herrera, a lifelong Army veteran, law enforcement professional, and dedicated VFW leader, is officially running for VFW Jr. Vice Commander-in-Chief for the 2028–2029 membership year.

The Department of Washington has produced only two past Commanders-in-Chief — Eric G. Sandstrom (Post 969, 1964–1965) and Charles C. Ralls (Post 2995, 1947–1948). Paul’s candidacy shows how far we have come as a Department and the strength of our leadership today. Now is the time to get behind our own candidate and make history once again.
