Adapting to the new restrictions

Due to our increased posture for the pandemic and new restrictions statewide, the November post meeting originally scheduled for this Wednesday is canceled.

Also, any informal gatherings at the Post are shut down until further notice.

The Douglas County Veteran Service Officer, whose office is within our building, will be closed until at least 01 Dec.

The Wreaths Across America event at Evergreen Cemetery, which is scheduled for 12 Dec, will be limited to laying wreaths on graves with a lot of social distancing and masking (More details to come).

During these restrictions, we will always be ready to assist our veterans and community with any assistance that may be needed. It may take a day or two to get our response plan in order, but we WILL respond to calls for assistance.

On a lighter note, we will be starting up an informal Zoom chat in an effort to bring back out weekly Community Coffee event. Stay tuned for details.

Finally, please stay hunkered down and wear your mask during this next phase. If we all join in this effort, it will go a long way towards minimizing the impact of this pandemic in our valley, and improve our odds that we’ll be around to a vaccine when it’s available.

Stay safe & Be well,
